The separation of cold and hot airflow in data centers is one of the basic methods of increasing cooling systems efficiency. Our aisles are available in a number of different configurations – cold, hot, direct chimney exhaust or as free-standing. A significant advantage of the corridors we supply is their 0% to 100% need for fitting with IT racks. They can be built around any device (IT racks, row based cooling units, UPS, tape drives, supercomputers), even in existing data centers.

Comparison of the airflow in data center without/with closed corridors

Cold corridors MINKELS

Cold corridors MINKELS

Front side of the IT racks is closed off.
Hot corridors MINKELS

Hot corridors MINKELS

Enclosed space at the rear side of IT racks with the exhaust to the ceiling.
Free standing corridors MINKELS

Free standing corridors MINKELS

Self supporting cold corridor - no racks needed.
Chimney exhausts MINKELS

Chimney exhausts MINKELS

Direct exhaust of heated air from the IT rack to the ceiling.
Closed circuits MINKELS

Closed circuits MINKELS

The airflow is separated from the space with IT racks.
